11 Dec We Have Returned
After two months of silence, we have returned for all your Beard Blog needs! We were out of commission for a bit due to a relocation for my day job. You see, by night I run High Peaks Beard Company and all the nuances that come along with it, but by day I am a park ranger for the National Park Service! My family and I get to travel around the country, working in various national parks, enjoying nature and all the beauty God has blessed every one of us with. This is one of the most enjoyable careers I know! I have now returned to work and live in the national park that actually inspired the name for the company.
You see, a few years ago, my family and I were living in beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. Looking out our living room window was the most picturesque view of Long’s Peak, the tallest mountain peak in Rocky Mountain, checking in at a whopping height of 14,259 feet in elevation. For whatever reason, my twin boys would call that mountain peak High Peak instead of Long’s Peak. When it came time to name the company, High Peaks stuck.
Due to medical issues, we had to leave our beautiful home in Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as my career from the park service, and we moved to the fruit filled foothills of Paonia, Colorado. Perhaps one day we will write about the medical issues and struggles we went through during our time away from the park service…but, since it doesn’t have anything to do with beards, probably not.
We have now returned to the splendid peaks of the Colorado wilderness and High Peaks Beard Company has returned to its place of inception. Over the next few weeks, we plan to continue to dive into beard issues, questions, and conversations. If you have anything you would like me to discuss in future blog post or any questions you have about beard care or beard products, please leave your comments below.
Thank you to all our fans and followers for sticking with us during these last few transitional months. We look forward to continuing to bring you the best in beard care products and advise.
